Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. is the most global luxury hotel company in the world. Its strength lies in nine distinct lifestyle brands, an awareded loyalty program and 181,400 talented employees all over the world. This project was developed in one of its units in Brazil with the purpose of showing the viability of automatization of room inventory process using RFID technology. As such, the main objective is control assets simplifying the query proccess and operational staff conference of this unit.
The INOVA Patrimônio RFID has a simple and instant installation, where it is enough to just download the app into any Android device. During login, all informations of the company are already pre-registered. The solution has a manual with online videotutorials and real time support via web. The software has hybrid technology which allows RFID, barcode or visual identification by partner BRFID.
About the Solution

Proposed Challenge: Decrease conference and asset control time, better precision for inventory using RFID.
Equipment: BT-900 UHF Reader and RFID Tags.
Solution: Creation of a data structure in all the database, allowing an easy integration with legacy systems. Cloud databases, allowing its easy scale instantly when new registries are made, plus backup security and redundancy in 24x7 use.
Functioning: The tag is attached to hotel objects and the verification is made with the 900-BT reader, which identifies items in the room, without the need of moving them. When the conference is finished it is possible to visualize information about the asset, such as model, manufacturer, location, cost center, etc.
Differences / Practical Benefits: The use of an integrated database with the RFID system avoids errors, and also speeds up the conference of materials to ensure asset control.
